Municipal Authority Of The Township Of Harmar

The Municipal Authority of Harmar (Authority), a body corporate and politic, was organized October 9, 1951 under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, pursuant to the Municipal Authorities Act of 1945, approved May 2,1945, P.L. 382,as ammended, by the Township of Harmar(Township). The Authority was created to acquire, hold, construct, improve, maintain, and operate a water distribution system to serve the Township and its contiguous areas, to borrow money, to make and issue negotiable bonds, and to secure the payment of such bonds or any charter of the Authority has been extended to December 31, 2041.
